We believe as a family who are in the fortunate position to own a business that we should aspire to develop a culture and ethos that at its core is inclusive and transparent. Any company that creates a community of customers around it can choose to communicate its views passively or creatively in an attempt to raise awareness of subjects it feels reflects its owns values.
Colin Kaepernick was the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers who chose to kneel prior to games and during the national anthem as a protest to police brutality. His stance became a national campaign taken up by fellow athletes. The Nike “Believe in Something” campaign is about achieving in the face of adversity and Kaepernick is the face of this campaign.
Moose Coffee felt the sentiment and the message of Kaepernick’s stance of inclusion, integrity and accountability was something we wanted to share in a positive way.
Some may say we shouldn't have a voice or seek to be political. We believe it’s important to contribute in words and actions to positive change. Whether it be socially, environmentally or culturally everyone can make a difference.
We are raising money for Hideaway in Manchester.
