So far this year, we’re proud to have raised £500 for Mind during Mental Health Awareness Week, supporting their vital work in mental health advocacy. In recognition of Juneteenth, we also donated 10% of that day’s profits to the Anthony Walker Foundation, which works to promote racial justice and equality.

In 2024 we raised over £8,500 for various charities in our communities including… 

• £2,500 - Over December, our stores raised money for the following charities: Homeless Street Angels, Life Share, Street Paws, White Chapel Center, Care for the Paw, andMind.

• £4,375 - for Zoe’s Place, a baby & children’s hospice in Liverpool who are in need of a new home. The Moose Foundation made an initial £2,500 donation and the remaining total was donated by our amazing customers in our Liverpool stores!

• £600 - for Liverpool Domestic Abuse Service, raised by six of our team members who ran Sefton Women’s 10K with Girls On The Go.

• £1000 - for atk an incredible LGBTQ+ charity, raised over Pride Month towards helping young LGBTQ+ individuals facing homelessness. The Moose Foundation matched every £1 charity donation made by our wonderful customers!

LFC Foundation – Workplace Experience Program
We partnered with the LFC Foundation to introduce young professionals to the skills required in the hospitality industry. Through in-store coffee training, health and safety workshops, and CV-building sessions—including mock interviews—we helped participants gain confidence and practical experience to support their career development.

The Learning Foundry – Creating Opportunities and Driving Social Mobility
With a mission to “Make Talent Shine,” The Learning Foundry is dedicated to supporting individuals into meaningful employment with fair wages while addressing skills gaps and reducing employment inequalities. Aligned with these values, Moose partnered with The Learning Foundry to deliver workplace programs that create real job opportunities for those in disadvantaged communities.

As part of this initiative, we hired an individual from the program who has now been with us for over two years. Throughout their time at Moose, they have progressed within our store and worked across multiple sites, building valuable experience and growing within our team. This success story is a testament to the impact of our partnership in fostering long-term career development and social mobility.

We recognise our corporate, social, and ethical responsibility to contribute to environmental preservation and tackling climate change. That's why we've launched a Sustainable Practice Strategy, setting achievable and aspirational targets each year. While we already practice several ethical and green initiatives, we're always seeking ways to improve.

• We no longer charge for alternative milks; we don’t believe you should be charged extra for making more sustainable choices!

• We use 100% recyclable take-out packaging, 100% biodegradable paper straws, and all our stores serve soft drinks in glass bottles.

• Our Moose coffee blend is Fairtrade.

• 62% of our menu is vegetarian or vegan.

• Our waste is sorted and recycled after collection, including all our food waste.

• Moose Ambassadors in each store championing our values & sustainability goals.
